Common Admission Test is the most successful MBA entrance exam in our country as a gateway to coveted IIMs and other top B-Schools. It is a very competitive exam with approximately 2 lakh candidates competing for approximately 5000 seats in the IIMs. Components of the computer-based test include English, Arithmetic, Logical Reasoning, and Data Analysis. In addition, the inclusion of the on-screen calculator and non-MCQs in the test was a significant change from the traditional pattern.

In 2020, the test took place in three slots on 29 November. After which the candidates begin training for the next round of the selection process which involves WAT/GD and PI rounds.

CAT scores are used by B-Schools for short-listed candidates for the GD/PI round. The results for the examination are usually available in January.

There have been certain considerations for evaluating Cut off include the difficulty level of the test, the total number of students who have taken part in the CAT 2020 exam. Due to the COVID-19 scenario, the number of students who attended the exam was comparatively lower.

CAT cuts are also projected to be close to last year’s cuts this year. Usually, the cuts for old IIMs were higher than for new IIMs. Also, the scores for non-IIMs are lower than the IIM scores. However, in recent years, IIMs have begun to concentrate on profile-based shortlisting with a lower cut-off.

The details given below is a detailed list of organizations based on their Cut Offs:
